Work from home jobs

Work from home jobs have become massive in the last 5 years. It is estimated that around 15% of all jobs today are carried out from home. This figure is due to grow massively over the next 5 years and some projections have predicted the figure will rise to as high as 50%.

So who is carrying out these jobs and what are these jobs you may ask? The answer is there isn’t one job or type of job. There are hundreds and possibly thousands of different ways to make money from home.

Work from home jobs (different types)

1. Probably the most popular was to work from home is to be employed by a large company that allows their employees to carry out their position from home. This again can range over a wide range of positions. From sales reps to telesales marketer.
2. Selling on eBay or other auction websites. With the popularity of sites like eBay it has made it possible to earn money from home selling on eBay. One survey claimed that there are now more people making a full time living on eBay that is making a living as a lawyer.
3. Affiliate marketing is a very popular method of working from home. If you aren’t aware what affiliate marketing is simply when you promote other companies products or services. This is usually through the internet and if some purchases through your website you are typically given between 20% and 50% of the final sale.
4. Selling your own product or service. Again this covers a wide range and could include anything from artwork or home hair stylists. Typically this type of work from home jobs is carried out by someone that is self-employed.

The list above is by no means the only ways to work from home. There are dozens of other methods that are too numerous to list in a small article like this one.

There are many advantages to working from home but it isn’t for everyone. To test out if you are suitable for this type of work you could always try another method I haven’t mentioned.

You could look through freelance websites like Elance and apply for suitable positions. That way you could try out working from home part-time and if you enjoyed you could make it a full time occupation.

There is so many different ways you could work from home it is matter of picking the one that is the best for you.
